dMY Technology Group, Inc. (DMYI)
Robbins LLP served as co-lead counsel for the class of dMY Technology Group, Inc. II stockholders who were entitled to redeem their shares of stock in connection with the Company's merger with Legacy Genius Sports Ltd. Shareholders sued for breach of fiduciary duty alleging that the Proxy Statement contained materially false and misleading representations about Legacy Genius's value and prospects, including misleading financial projections for the 2021 through 2022 fiscal years. Specifically, the Proxy failed to disclose that Legacy Genius had entered into an agreement with the National Football League that would cost an estimated $120 million per year, making the Proxy projections unachievable. After the merger, Genius's gross profits have decreased dramatically, and the Company's stock price has cratered. In litigating this matter, Robbins LLP secured $14.8 million for the class.
