Felipe Arroyo Featured as Panelist at PLI’s Handling a Securities Case 2012 Seminar

Robbins Umeda LLP* partner and shareholder rights attorney Felipe J. Arroyo presented at the Practising Law Institute’s (PLI) program entitled, “Handling a Securities Case 2012: From Investigation to Trial and Everything in Between,” on April 26, 2012 in New York City.  The seminar focused on issues that arise in the most complex securities matters; from government and internal investigations, through to trial or settlement in civil cases.  Participating alongside government officials, judges, and other leading industry practitioners, Mr. Arroyo shared his insight into the latest best practices and case law in complex securities litigation.

Mr. Arroyo's practice focuses on complex shareholder litigation.   He represents individual and institutional shareholders in high-profile shareholder derivative suits and securities class actions when their investments lose value due to corporate fraud, misconduct, and other illegal activity at the public companies in which they have invested.  The cases he has litigated have led to monetary recoveries of $190 million and the implementation of pro-investor corporate governance reform at dozens of companies.
