Robbins Umeda LLP’s* Founders Named 2010 Super Lawyers

Robbins Umeda LLP is pleased to announce that name partners Brian Robbins and Marc Umeda have once again been named "Super Lawyers" for 2010 by Law & Politics.  This marks Robbins’ fourth consecutive year named to Super Lawyers and Umeda’s second year on the list.

Each year, Super Lawyers ranks the top five percent of attorneys in San Diego and other regions throughout the United States. The listing includes lawyers from more than 70 practice areas who have attained a high degree of peer recognition and professional achievement.  Attorneys selected are chosen by their peers through a multi-step process, including polling, peer evaluations and independent research.  Prior to final selection, each candidate is reviewed by the publication's research staff.

Robbins, co-founder and managing partner of the firm, has focused his entire career on representing shareholders, employees, consumers, and small businesses in complex litigation matters.  He has prosecuted hundreds of cases across the country, often in leadership roles, and has achieved sizable monetary recoveries and corporate governance reforms on behalf of his clients.

Umeda, co-founder of the firm, has devoted his entire career to complex litigation with a focus on shareholder derivative actions and class actions.  He has successfully prosecuted actions throughout the country on behalf of his shareholder clients, achieving millions in monetary contributions, including one of the largest monetary settlements ever in a derivative action, and forcing corporate governance reform at some of the country's most well-known companies.

In addition to San Diego, Super Lawyers magazine is published nationwide, and can be found in all 50 states. With an objective to create a comprehensive list that is useful to consumers of legal services, its listings range from small town lawyers in boutique firms to big city attorneys at large corporate law offices, as well as legal aid attorneys, prosecutors and in-house counsel.  For more information, visit www.superlawyers.com.
